Views from the garden look straight out on to Inverness Castle and the river, with the Black Isle and Ben Wyvis in the distance, and whilst the apartment is situated in the basement of this old Victorian building, it lets in plenty of light from both sides.

Quality and comfort are the aims here. The king-size divan bed comes with feather and down duvets, soft feather pillows and 100% Egyptian cotton covers (non-allergenic bedding is available). The pure wool carpet is great for bare feet in the morning!

The small shower room is perfectly kitted out with a Grohe high pressure shower and ceramic tiles all round. The kitchen is ultra-modern and easy to use with a halogen hob, electric fan oven, dishwasher, fridge and washer-dryer.

The lounge area offers comfortable seating, a flat screen tv/dvd and wireless internet access. Small French windows lead up to the garden where you can have barbeques in the summer and hot wine at New Year whilst watching the fireworks. There are central heating radiators in all rooms and the high quality sofa folds out into a small double bed for occasional use, with bedding supplied (for an extra charge).
